"Éco" comes from the Greek oikos: the home.

Écodentaire Clinic was born into a family of dentists. The Montreal practice was founded in 1996, then taken over in March 2022 by Dr. David Alexandre Arav, who developed the Écodentaire name and made Outremont the clinic’s home.

A family story

Born in his parents' practice, where the waiting room doubled as a living room, Dr. Arav carries on this idea of care as a home. His daughter Margaux continues the lineage, studying dentistry at the Université de Montréal.

An eco-responsible approach

Biocompatible, BPA-free materials, fewer single-use plastics, no mercury amalgams. Canada is party to the Minamata Convention on Mercury and restricts amalgam use in vulnerable groups.

Place and relationship

Dentistry whose only priority is the patient: care where the place and the relationship matter as much as the procedure.
